Even before our human race would dash off to our self-imposed stressful lives, God placed a day each week as a marker, and as a living memory aid for rest. God wanted this day to be a time for us to stop and deliberately enjoy life—a day to be and not do, to celebrate the gift of grass; air; wildlife; water; people; and, most of all, Him: the Creator of every good gift. Today we are going explore God’s wonderful invitation to rest.
