Joseph stands out as a great patriarchal figure, similar to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Although he was the 11th son of Jacob, he was the first son of Jacob’s true love, Rachel. Joseph’s early life with his brothers was turbulent, and Jacob’s family was heading for trouble.
